On July 3, 1952, the SS United States set sail on her maiden voyage. Over 13,000 visitors attended bon voyage parties on board and gathered around her pier to see her depart. America's Flagship carried the pride of a nation as she set out across the sea. Sixty-five years later -- against all odds -- she still does.
We invite you to view a clip from the film "SS United States: Lady in Waiting," produced by Mark Perry and directed by Robert Radler. This footage brings the triumphant maiden voyage of America's Flagship back to life and helps convey why we must save the glorious SS United States.
Thank you so much for your support!
