While we wish we could fire up the engines and set sail together aboard America's Flagship, the Pollin Group and the Conservancy have partnered to offer the next best thing. The 7-night cruise aboard the Celebrity Summit, sailing in May 2018, will depart from Cape Liberty (Bayonne, New Jersey) on Sunday, May 6 and will make port at King's Wharf, Bermuda on May 9 for a three-day stay. The ship will return to New Jersey on Sunday, May 13.

Onboard highlights include:

  • Festive social gatherings featuring the music, dance and fashion of the transatlantic liner era, including an exclusive themed cocktail party.

  • Riveting talks on design, innovation and "the way things work" by award-winning author and illustrator David Macaulay.

  • Special presentation by Susan Gibbs, the SS United States Conservancy's executive director and granddaughter of the SS United States' designer, William Francis Gibbs.

  • Screening of award-winning SS United States documentary "Lady in Waiting," followed by a Q&A with producer Mark Perry.

  • SS United States 3D laser scan presentation by Gibbs & Cox.

  • Fascinating candid talk by the SS United States' Philadelphia caretakers on the challenges and rewards of caring for America's Flagship at her current berth.

  • Entertaining games and trivia events testing your knowledge of the Big U.

  • Additional talks spotlighting the SS United States' history, design, celebrity passengers, mid-century art and design, the transatlantic ocean liner era and the race for the Blue Riband.
