Flagship FAQ: How can I get involved with a regional Conservancy chapter?

Today, we’re back to answer another important question posed by our generous supporters: How can I get involved with a regional Conservancy chapter?

The SS United States Conservancy is a small organization with a big mission. The help of our supporters is indispensable as we work towards our common goal of saving the SS United States and celebrating her legacy, and our regional Conservancy chapters play an important role in protecting the future of America’s Flagship.

If you are a member living in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, New England, Washington, D.C., Florida, Hampton Roads, VA, the Great Lakes/Chicago region, Arizona, the Greater Atlanta area, the Southeast region of the U.S., or on the West Coast; are a cadet at SUNY Maritime College at Fort Schuyler; or live in Europe, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom, you can join one of the Conservancy’s regional membership chapters.

Our chapters provide regional support to the Conservancy and work closely with Conservancy staff to recruit members, fund-raise, and increase local awareness of the SS United States through exciting public exhibitions and events. Additionally, chapters hold social hours to engage our members and celebrate our successes! If you live in one of these areas and would like to donate your time and talents to a very worthy cause, please consider joining our efforts.
