The Big U is a cover girl once again
Sea History, the quarterly magazine of the National Maritime Historical Society, features the SS United States on its current cover!
Maritime artist Bob Semler's gorgeous painting of the Big U, entitled "Diamond Jubilee," accompanies a story featuring the Conservancy's efforts on behalf of the ship and profiling longtime Conservancy supporter, former SS United States engineer, and author Bob Sturm.
Sturm has been helping the Kings Point's American Merchant Marine museum catalog its United States Lines archives. The Conservancy's archives and curatorial collections continue to grow, and we look forward to continued partnerships with other institutions and collections to share the amazing story of America's Flagship.
